In this episode, I talk to a parent whose child has an eating disorder, and they suspect the care they’re getting is inadequate. The child’s anxiety therapist suggested that the parents should back off and allow the child to choose recovery, but is that really the best answer? I’ll talk through why that’s not a good solution, and what the parents can do instead of backing off.
