In this episode, I respond to a parent whose child has an eating disorder. This parent is worried because it seems like their child is never happy anymore. All the parent is seeing is anger and sadness. I share information about how happiness is just one of six core emotions. And when a person has an eating disorder they have an emotional processing disorder. Something parents can do is help their child feel *all* their emotions. When we make it safe for them to feel negative emotions like anger and sadness, it becomes safe to feel happy again.
